Blake! & a little weekend fun

Hopefully you are keeping up with Blake on the blogs that I posted last time...but here's a pic that took my breath away! This is him standing in the Jordan River. Incredible.

Sweet Cam almost got sick from the heat at baseball practice, AND...to finish up our weekend, a little trip to Urgent Care. Always a joy.

If you give an 8 year old a scooter, he'll try and do a wheelie. Then he'll fall, only to be caught by the handle bar in the face.

If you take that same boy to Urgent Care, the doctor will say, "oh, he's just too cute for glue. Let's numb him up and put stitches in that poor sweet face"

If you give that same kid numbing cream, he'll feel so good that he'll actually WATCH the doc put in his 3 stitches.

So it seems as though someone on here hasn't blogged a whole lot. Hmmm...wonder who that could be?

10 for Tuesday:

1. Please go check out my friend Vicki's blog (listed below right as Marquez Family). Blake is on a Israel trip with her husband. (Another blog is http://gtitours.org/tour/2011-09-17-israel-with-scott-heare/)

2. Again, Blake was blessed with a 14 day study trip to Israel with our pastor. What an incredible experience!

3. Yesterday was our 13th anniversary. Blake got to swim in the Dead Sea! I got to take boys to dentist.

4. I just heard Lucy fart. Seriously. Made the poot sound. Blake always said she did it every morning. I never believed him. Until now.

5. Camron is playing YMCA baseball this fall. For all of you who know us, we NEVER play a fall sport. We are crazy.

6. Brandon is still doing gymnastics and is loving it.

7. I am in my 5th week of boot camp. I don't know what I was thinking on that one. I am still waiting till that "loving it" stage will hit.

8. I am on week 2 of our boot camp's Paleo Challenge. Google paleo. It's hard to eat that way. AND there's also exercise every night to top it off!

9. I miss my friend Brooke and her family. I miss them dearly.

10. I ALSO miss my family, both sides. Boo.

what to do...what to do...

What to do when your life sort of gets turned upside down? (I know...not really turned upside down in some people's priorities & life stories, but upside down in my life.) I decided to have a pitty party. If anyone wants to join me, it's been fun. Not the kind of party with cake and balloons, but more of a "it's my party and I can cry if I want to" kind of party.

Well...trying to again figure out what to do, I decided to check blogs. Not the best thing for me right now, but I did find this really funny post that cheered me up for just a bit. Seems like she could have been wearing a hat at my party the day she wrote this. Wish I had words like that sometimes! Wanted to share just in case anyone else needs it!

Or who am I?? WHAT? It's been a long, long time. I miss blogging. Especially now that I've given up facebook. Yes, gave up. Cold turkey. It's been a couple of weeks, and I have to say, I don't miss it. I miss out on a little, but it does give me more to talk to people about. I get to catch up with friends in person. It's nice.

I have so much to write, and sooo many pictures to post, but I was just FLOORED by Brooke's latest post. So, you can click on her blog for your viewing pleasure today. It wiped everything in my head right out.

Back to School-2010 edition

It's REALLY hard to believe that this is our 5th first day of school since kindergarten. Can't believe it!! The kids were very excited, up until we hit the parking lot.

We started with breakfast requests: Cam an omelet made by Dad & Bran some pancakes.

Then we moved to the hair spiking and the picture taking. I am a bit crazy with my camera on the first day of school, but that is another post between me & my psychologist. :)

Here they are! Handsome...I must say.

Again, they were co-operative until we hit the pavement. Then the "Mom, stop taking pictures you are embarrassing me" started.

Last but not least...we ended up our last night before school with trip to Chili's with the Blevins'. Not to mention...in matching outfits! Aren't we cute?

Blake made it home...safe and sound!

Boy oh boy!! The mission team arrived home after a 31 hour travel after leaving Entebbe. They ALL looked like they were in desperate need of a shower and their beds. But the best part, is that the look they all had was beautiful! Beautiful from the heart. All 12 of them had just poured their hearts into 140+ children for 2 whole weeks! I can never thank them all enough!

Thank you for the reading the couple of posts and keeping up with them on the blogs! It meant so much to all of them!
