FIRST DAY OF KINDER!!! (and 2nd grade too!!!)

Well...It's official! I have a kindergartner & a second grader!! Can you believe it?? I am not old enough for that, am I? Guess so. Here's the proof...

Cam & I @ his first day of Kinder in '06...

now Brandon's turn (notice the shirts-I am cheesy, I know it.)
Such BIG KIDS!!!

Superhero, waiting for the action

Dad & Brandon

His teacher came to get the kids, and Brandon high-tailed it out of there!! He was done with all the monkey business of waiting around, and he just wanted to get to kindergarten. Mom cried, Dad didn't, and everyone else just went about their day as if they had not just PUT THEIR BABY IN SCHOOL!! I'll get over it. I hope.

WWWOOOOHHHOOOO-I'm out of here!!

We're all getting a little older and hopefully a little wiser over here in Taylor Land. All just taking it day by day.

Last one for the weekend...the Scooter Store "picnic"

So about a month ago, Blake told me that The Scooter Store was going to have a company wide family picnic. I was thinking "wow..fun". A picnic with a bunch of people I don't know. And, it's a couple of days before school starts. Again, picnic. I am thinking hot dogs, maybe a moonwalk or two, and some face painting. Well, I was wrong. When The Scooter Store is going to have a family picnic, they are going to do it in STYLE!!

Here's what we saw as we were walking up.

Not so much as a picnic, but a full blown carnival. All for free too!

We found some kids "clowning around"

I found a guy on a scooter @ the scooter store picnic. I thought that was pretty darn funny.

They had the zipper, the kamikaze, 5 moonwalks, a candy apple stand, cotton candy, popcorn, carousal, different carnival games, couple spinney rides, a fun house, a roller coaster, bumper cars, picture taking, corn dogs, lemon aid, a rock climbing wall, and more! Insane. We all had a blast.

Here's the view from the ferris wheelCheck out all the people!!! There were over 1000 people there! Our shirts they had made for us were our "tickets" so that they could make sure they were all Scooter Store people.

Speaking of ferris wheel, here's Cam & I WAY up high. And yes, I was squashing Cam & peeing in my pants @ this moment. I am slightly afraid of heights.

Dad & kids on the Tilt-a-whirl. Just plain fun.

They did an amazing job. They had a Band, Rudy's BBQ catering, and prizes for the kids. We came home way too much stuff. Ohhh...and the things that came out of these kids mouths! (I have to start writing them down!) They just couldn't get over the fact that everything was "zero dollars" which is a BIG deal in the Taylor Family. When we were walking up, Brandon said that he could see the "miracle-go-round". He then saw something else and asked, "is that another ride or just a vegetarian?" WHAT? We asked if he knew what a vegetarian was, and he says..."Yeeesss. When I am doing something smart to Camron, and he says 'no you're not' I say yes I am, cause I'm a vegetarian." That my friends, is classic.

That's it for now. School starts in the morning!!

Summertime - Part 3

I know y'all are probably getting tired of all this, but we just had such a fun summer!! Here's more summer fun...

-- We went to Round Rock to visit the Kosse Family for July 4th. The kids did a bike parade. I have to say, never challenge Charlotte to a "who can buy the most 4th of July gear in 1 day's notice" contest. You'll lose every time.

Gwenyth, Lincoln, Maison, Brandon & Camron - (Tatum not pictured-and yes, the Kosse's have 4 kids!!)

-- Camron got a new shirt.

It has how now become his FAVORITE shirt. Yes, it's PINK, and it says, "Call the Vet-cause these puppies are Sick"

-- Some of our Houston friends came into town to visit-the Wagers-and we got to meet them @ the Salt Lick in Dripping Springs. If you've never been there before, you have to go, soon!!

Misty's taking the pic, but there's Tre & their super cute son, Donovan. He likes Ms. Jen a lot.

Blake found proof that he is really cool.

-- We won some metals @ the olympics.

Grammy came in bronze. (she could have had the silver, but she screamed too much on the rides)

-- We had our 5th annual Riverside Baptism. God was amazing, as usual. My friend Brooke worked her hiney off again, and everyone had a great time. We had over 30 people get baptised and dedicated this year. Among them...

Gary Gilbert!!! Way to go Gary!

and Lance Klein!! (accompanied by our Acacia Group)

Here we all are in our stylin' new Acacia shirts. Thanks Blevins' for the hard work you put into these to get them to us on time!

-- We went to the coast for our 2nd annual Rockport trip. Tons of fun, rain, jelly fish and laughs.

Here's Charis, Bran, Cam & Grady "jelly fishing" in their pajamas. We had so much fun...thanks again Jamie!

Cam caught a red fish!!

Summertime - Part 2

More things over the summer...

We got Fiesta Texas season passes for the first time! The kids and I had fun...while Dad was @ work. Sorry Dad. We made our rounds with all the characters...

We got to go with cousins!

Camron opted not to be in this pic-
he didn't like joker

Grammy came too!

We also graduated from the little kid rides. Camron found that he really likes the big swings (which I couldn't do in a million years) and we're getting braver on the others. We have found that we love Tony Hawk's Big Spin, which we also found out that Grammy DOES NOT! We got to spend many long days walking between the park & the water park, and we hope to spend more! Thanks kids for letting your mom be a kid with you guys! I had a blast.

Summertime - part 1

We are now almost 1 day away from school starting. I can't believe that the boys and I have had almost 90 days of summer vacation. We've had LOTS of fun, and I have to recap on some of it...

We had birthdays...

My sister Toni turned 27!! 6/5/08
We got to celebrate with her with her favorite cake-Angelfood w/strawberry glaze & whipped cream.

Brooke turning 27 too!! 6/8/08 (her mom came in town to help celebrate!)

This one was from our Birthday Acacia dinner. Ben was in Isreal, so we made a tribute for him so that he could join in on the festivities.

Happy Birthday to Joanie too!!

Her's was actually on 5/24/08, but we were slackers, and never celebrated. She was a trooper-we remodeled a cabin for her actual birthday!

And last but not least...

My BABY sister Mary turned 21!!!!! She celebrated many times, but this was the one we were invited to. We went to Alamo Cafe...all the siblings!

We had more, but no pics of those-Meg Cullip and Chris Gilbert. I'll try and do better now that I'm a blogger...

Here we go!!

Ok peeps...we are in action. It's Blog Time.

Just to let you know...I am up over an hour and a half just to get this thing up and started. Most of the time it was trying to come up with a name for the blog. Come on, you're probably thinking, how hard could it be could it be to come up with a name??? Hard. Thanks for the help Brookie.
